About Kim
Kim was a 53 year old loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many.  She was a driven person.  Professionally, she mentored many of the pharmaceutical reps that she managed.  Personally, she was an avid runner, animal lover and Iowa Hawkeye enthusiast.  She enjoyed  spending time with friends.  No matter how busy her schedule was, she always made time for her friends and their children.
On July 11, 2014, Kim went to Iowa for Summerfest with an unexplained bruise.  She returned to Arizona on the 19th with multiple unexplained bruises.  She was immediately taken to the hospital and was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia.    Kim needed platelets and her HPA-1a negative platelets were rare.  Only one person in the national blood bank was a match.  Kim needed the platelets to gain strength and prepare her body for a bone marrow transplant.  Kim passed away on August 4, 2014 - a mere 17 days after being diagnosed.
